This is a listing of a number of the computational biology and bioinformatics programs in the United States, with a little bit of commentary. With some help from others at Yale, I attempted to list the name of each program, a bit about its structure (such as a department, a center, an inter-departmental PhD granting program, etc.) and some aspect of its scale.
The point of this list is to help me reflect on Yale's existing Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (CBB) Program, which is an inter-departmental PhD granting entity. (An old reference is pertinent here.)
