Letter RE “How I Accidentally Kickstarted the Domestic Drone Boom," Wired

I really enjoyed your recent cover story about the new drone vehicles
that hobbyists can readily access. We will, indeed, see more and
more of these in the future. However, one aspect that the article did
not touch on is how safe will this proliferation of hobbyist drones be
for the average bystander. Will people have to worry about drones
crashing and hitting them or flying through their window? And how
does this play out with regard to liability laws, piloting licenses
and so forth? Interestingly this aspect was not touched on at all in
the article but for the man on the street this will be the main thing
to think about in relation to all the new flying objects.
